About me
You won’t find a ‘After-she-went-to-a-prestigious-art-school-she-worked-for-some fantastic-designer’ intro here. I’ve never studied and I can’t really namedrop on my CV either. But I did go to NYC after I finished high school in the Netherlands and followed a photography course at the New School. This is where I learned I loved photography (just like my Austrian father, who is a photographer) but absolutely didn’t have the patience to understand the technical side. After this year I went to the city where my creative chaotic personality felt at home right away: Berlin! my goal? Writing and drawing. My plan? No idea. But sometimes not having one can bring you to just the right place. In my case, Dutch television. Since I’ve always had the urge to create, and also the need to share my inspiration. This combination worked very well. I presented my own TV program, called ‘Jill’ on NPO3 for ten years, with lots of love. yet, deepdown I always knew my Berlin-persona hadn’t left the building. So it was time to go back to my true core! Creating art, combined with content that give you the tools to do the same.

About my style
With my Vienesse background I have always been attracted to the ornamental, decorative side of life. I can’t help it, to just love a little Sisi-kitch in my life. (Very unfortunately for my boyfriend who is the exact opposite) but my roots will always be Amsterdam. My birthplace and city I’ve lived the longest. The city of the free spirits with individual style, and iconic neighborhoods like the Jordaan with its porcelain leopards. Let’s call it classic eclectic.
